Club Facilities

We continue to invest in good quality, wheelchair-accessible facilities to enable you to get out and participate with the minimum of fuss. We have modern changing rooms with good showers, good condition slipways, lots of boat storage space, and a warm clubhouse which serves well priced food and drink.

The club is open at weekends when club members provide safety cover. In addition to this, there is organised sailing on Thursday evenings, and members are welcome to sail on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays if they arrange for fellow members to crew one of the club safety boats.

Boats for Hire

The Club is fortunate to have a range of dinghies which are used during the RYA Training Courses.  These are also available for hire on Thursday evenings and at Weekends at very reasonable rates.  Non members will have to pay a small additional fee to become temporary members for insurance purposes.  There is a facility to pre-book for a particular day and the Officer of the Day (OOD) will be able to complete the necessary paperwork and deal with the Hire Charge.  The boats are Oppis, suitable for small youngsters – RS Teras, ideal for more confident youngsters – RS Fevas, two handed with a spinnaker – single handed Lasers with standard, radial and 4.7 rig and Comet Trios, a classic two or three person dinghy with excellent performance.
